WHERE DO YOU KEEP YOUR HIVES?
We have some on our family farm here in Henley Otago and some more on a family friends farm in Middlemarch. We tend to bring our hives down from Middlemarch in the cool winter months.
DO YOU RECYCLE YOUR EGG CARTONS?
Yes we do! You can ask leave you carton at your purchase location and we will collect them when we next deliver your eggs. Please ensure the cartons you put out are clean as we cannot reuse dirty ones.
WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY CLOVER BLEND?
We call it a clover blend as there could be possible small traces of other flowers. Its main makeup is definitely clover. We want to ensure we are transparent with our product and provide you with quality.

MY RUNNY HONEY HAS CRYSTALLISED, WHAT DO I DO?
Runny honey doesn't like cold. Ensure you keep it in a warm spot. To reverse crystallisation, simply add heat to your honey.
ARE YOUR EGGS FREE RANGE?
Yes they are! Our chickens live on green pastures and are free to roam the hills up the back of the farm. The do a lot of foraging for food but we also provide them with daily layers mash. They are free to come and go as they please.
WHAT DO YOU FEED YOUR CHICKENS?
Our chickens are free range and have large hill areas to roam. We provide them with layers mash which they love and ensures they are getting all the nutrient they need to make their lovely eggs. Egg laying chooks have quite a complex nutritional need, their mash is designed to ensure their eggs and overall health is top quality.
WHY ARE MY YOLKS A DIFFERENT COLOUR?
Yolk colour tends to depend on the diet of the chicken. Colour pigments are deposited into the yolk from the food they are eating. Yolk colour does not determine the freshness of the egg.
HOW DO I STORE MY EGGS?
Eggs are best stored between 4 and 15 degrees. Ideally 9 degrees. They are best stored in a fridge.
